All About Me!

by mlmachuga @ 12:58 p

My name is Megan Machuga.  I am 23 years old and I was born and now live in Gastonia, NC.  I teach Kindergarten at H.H. Beam Elementary School.  I am a second year teacher and taught first grade last year.  I graduated from Appalachian in the Spring of 2006.  After teaching for a year I decided to enter into the Masters of Reading Education program in hopes of learning new strategies and gaining new experiences with reading and writing to help me become a better classroom teacher.  One day I would like to be a reading teacher to help those children that really struggle with reading and finding their way through school, but for now I am very happy with my little kindergarten babies.  This blog has been created to help me express my thoughts and opinions about the books and articles we read in this class and to also help show my creativity in the projects we will be completing in this class.  I am so excited about starting this blog because I have always heard people talk about having them, but never thought of starting one for myself.  I think that this blog and this class is going to be a great learning experience for me.  Well…I guess it is time to get started!!!!
